In this project, the garden’s visual axis from a strictly linear movement is modified to a transverse flow, drawing the eye and footsteps toward the lobbies on either side. Subtle projections from the lobbies extend into the garden, quietly embracing pockets of space for passive recreation. The landscape weaves between the two buildings, gradually permeating their edges, softening thresholds, and allowing hardscape and softscape to dissolve into one another. read more
Our material palette celebrates tactility and seasonality: handmade tiles underfoot, exposed brickwork framing the presence of an existing neem tree, and fine sand that shifts with time and weather. These choices ground the garden in an earthy character while inviting it to evolve organically with the changing seasons.
