Solar Island conceived on a simple yet powerful idea—harnessing solar energy and converting it into clean, usable electricity. Positioned at an ideal location with uninterrupted sunlight, the island is designed in the form of a trees, echoing nature’s own method of energy creation. Just as leaves perform photosynthesis, these solar trees feature custom-crafted solar cones embedded with photovoltaic cells that capture solar energy and store it in batteries
There are four such trees, each uniquely designed after detailed studies of the sun path, shadow analysis, and the interplay of self-casting shadows. Each tree carries two illuminated cones that light up the island at night, powered entirely by the energy harnessed during the day.
Semi-circular benches encircle the trees, offering citizens a shaded spot to sit, read, or chat. The project’s guiding brief envisioned and embraced was clear and heartfelt: to give back to society, and to do so through self-sustaining, renewable means.
